Excited for Zambia

I hope to go to Zambia in June. That is supposed to be a good time for game viewing. Even though I am not really an adventurous person, my husband has convinced me to go with him. It will certainly be a different experience for me.
We picked Zambia because of its natural environment, its biodiversity and of course the famous Victoria Falls. To be honest, in the beginning, I was quite lukewarm about the trip. Now that our departure time is getting closer, surprisingly I am more excited than my hubby.
Our friends and family members are also warming up to our plans. Initially, they warned us about the potential dangers and kept recommending other places. Now they are happy for us. I am always a bit nervous when I go anywhere new so it will be the same for Zambia.
We have already booked a tourist guide through our travel agent. Right now, I'm busy shopping. We will take a few long-sleeved shirts to ward off mosquitoes and other hungry flying insects. I'm not sure whether I should pack a pair of jeans or not. We'll probably just go with cotton trousers and shorts. I'm having trouble finding a hat that I like, but I know that I can't go without one. The sun will be very hot there so a comfortable hat and sunglasses are important. I hope to leave room for a small first aid kit in my suitcase. You never know what could happen on a safari!
I get an adrenaline rush every time I think about Zambia and a safari. To see wild animals in their natural environment will be an amazing opportunity. We'll do exactly what our guide tells us to do. I don't want to see the wildlife too close. Your experiences in Zambia and suggestions will help us enjoy our trip. Thank you.
